[CAL-DAY-DAH-DAH]
A [CAL-DAY-RAH-DAH] é um projeto criado e dirigido pela artista Inês Barracha. Baseia-se numa comparação metafórica entre o prato regional “Caldeirada” - uma mistura de peixes muito diferentes, com a “grande salganhada” de povos que têm passado pelo Algarve, bem como das respetivas influências que vão deixando no território. A artista faz uma crítica sarcástica à descaracterização que a região tem sofrido, mas ao mesmo tempo convida a observar com curiosidade todas as culturas que se vão sobrepondo tal como na receita e a saborear o rico “caldo alquímico” que delas se cozinha, transformando o Algarve num território com características únicas.
[CAL-DAY-RAH-DAH] is a project created and directed by artist Inês Barracha. It is based on a metaphorical comparison between the regional dish "Caldeirada"—a mix of very different fish—and the "great mishmash" of peoples who have passed through the Algarve, as well as the respective influences they leave on the territory. The artist offers a sarcastic critique of the decharacterization the region has suffered, while at the same time inviting us to observe with curiosity all the cultures that overlap, just like in the recipe, and to savor the rich "alchemical broth" that is cooked from them, transforming the Algarve into a territory with unique characteristics.

HAPPENINGS é uma categoria que define um conjunto de eventos do projeto [CAL-DAY-RAH-DAH] que desafiam as convenções tradicionais da expressão artística e questionam a separação entre arte e vida. Manifestam-se como uma fusão de áreas entre performance, a instalação, as artes plásticas, a arte digital ou outras e que convida o público a interagir e participar criando uma experiência imersiva.
HAPPENINGS is a category that defines a series of events within the [CAL-DAY-RAH-DAH] project, challenging traditional artistic expression conventions and questioning the separation between art and life. They manifest as a fusion of areas such as performance, installation, visual arts, digital art, and others, inviting the audience to interact and participate, creating an immersive experience.
Supper Club
O SUPPER CLUB é uma das “formas” da [CAL-DAY-RAH-DAH]. São experiências artístico-gastronómicas não convencionais, momentos de refeição intimistas e multi-sensoriais, em que são partilhadas histórias inspiradas na cultura algarvia, acompanhadas de instalações e objetos artísticos, conduzindo os participantes a viagens interativas e imersivas às nossas origens e a futuros imaginados.
É um convite à reflexão coletiva numa tentativa desesperada de reconexão com o território que habitamos e uns com os outros.
The SUPPER CLUB is one of the "forms" of [CAL-DAY-RAH-DAH]. It is an unconventional, artistic-gastronomic experience, an intimate and multi-sensory dining moment, where stories inspired by Algarvean culture are shared, accompanied by installations and artistic objects. These experiences guide participants on interactive and immersive journeys to our origins and imagined futures. It is an invitation to collective reflection in a desperate attempt to reconnect with the land we inhabit and with one another.
Fanzine
A [CAL-DAY-RAH-DAH] ZINE é uma publicação trimestral lançada no início de cada estação sendo o lançamento da sua primeira edição no equinócio da Primavera a 22 de março deste ano.
A ideia é criar uma Fanzine artesanal alternativa, produzida localmente, que reuna contributos, maioritariamente de criativos residentes no Algarve com assuntos pertinentes ou curiosidades da nossa região. Um dos objetivos desta publicação é também incluir conteúdos das várias comunidades estrangeiras imigrantes.
A Fanzine pretende ser uma espécie de almanaque que possa reavivar o interesse pelo território e agregar a comunidade na defesa do seu património cultural e natural.

The [CAL-DAY-RAH-DAH] ZINE is a quarterly publication launched at the beginning of each season, with the first edition set to be released on the spring equinox on March 22nd this year.
The idea behind this publication is to create an artisanal, locally produced Fanzine that gathers contributions, mainly from creatives residing in the Algarve, covering relevant topics or curiosities about our region. One of the goals is also to include content from the various immigrant communities in the Algarve.
This Fanzine aims to be a kind of almanac that revives interest in the territory and unites the community in the defense of its cultural and natural heritage.

Os MURAIS da [CAL-DAY-RAH-DAH] estão espalhados pela zona ribeirinha da cidade de Portimão convidando os visitantes da cidade a descobrir os vários peixes escondidos e a conhecer mais sobre cada espécie fazendo scan de um QR code na sua placa de identificação. São dadas pistas sobre a localização dos restantes peixes e quem encontar todos e divulgar fotos comprovativas com o #caldayrahdah no Instagram pode ganhar um prémio!
The [CAL-DAY-RAH-DAH] MURALS are scattered along the riverside area of Portimão, inviting visitors to discover various hidden fish. Each mural features a QR code on its identification plaque, providing information about the species. Clues to the locations of other fish are also provided. Participants who find all the fish and share photos with the hashtag #caldayrahdah on Instagram can win a prize.

O projeto [CAL-DAY-RAH-DAH] também possui uma vertente educativa, manifestada através de oficinas e residências criativas para crianças - MODO KIDS. Estas iniciativas transmitem conhecimentos sobre várias áreas artísticas e científicas, com o objetivo de incentivar a colaboração e a preservação do património natural e cultural do Algarve.
The [CAL-DAY-RAH-DAH] project also has an educational component, offering workshops and creative residencies for children - MODO KIDS. These initiatives provide knowledge across various artistic and scientific fields, aiming to encourage collaboration and the preservation of the Algarve's natural and cultural heritage.
